Stupid Ebay Question

When I search on sold listings. I see a pic of the item that says sold. But there is a yellow stripe above the listing that says "The listing Has Ended by the seller." Or "This Buy-It-Now listing has ended." Does that mean it didn't really sell? Or am I a big dummie? oO

If the price is green then it sold. This is before you click on the listing.

If someone decided to except the current bid and end the sale early (if its an auction), that statement would probably show up it still sold.

Seller decided to end the auction early and sell to the current high bidder

Auction that also had a Buy It Now Price (at least 30% higher then the opening bid)
Instead of taking a chance and placing a bid >> Buyer hit the Buy It Now button and purchased the item straight out for the higher price
