Pool Heater to scrap or sell?

I have a used Hayward H100ID pool heater that was given to me for scrapping a pool. I'm reading that pool heaters have a lot of scrap value, but the owner told me it still works. Can anyone offer their advice as to whether it would be better to scrap or sell whole?

Personally, i would scrap it. I am too busy to spend time finding someone to buy something like that. Time is money!

I do pool heater all the time.
There is about $100 in total scrap value.
Including the tin, cast iron ends, and copper heat exchangers.
Sell the pool heater for $400.00 much easier.
Heck, you could unload it tomorrow for $250 on kijiji or CL.

One of my free buckets previously contained Pool Water Manager. Today I noticed the price: $100 for 10 pounds. If I had seen that earlier maybe I would have saved the residue of powder I cleaned out. This year I'll be looking for anything pool-related.

I have an ancient in-ground pool, with a huge, non-working, sand filter(no idea what its made of; some metal?), a broken gas pool heater(we went solar when it broke due to a power failure), & some kinda metal ancient tank(was maybe a filter?) I saw what the scrapped heater may be worth. Any idea about the other equipment?
