    LMAO...now..this is funny.

Ok here in Dallas Texas its been raining off and on and its in the 40s...there is one thing about me...that is I dont shy away from work so I had to mow the yard today because our HOA was being...I will use the words as friendly reminders...I wanted to tell them a few words...but well..yea anyway...

So I went to do it and found out I was out of fuel so I ran down to get the gas came back and it was raining again so I went inside for a few and it soon stopped so...shirt,shoes coat and coffee back outside to get this done fast before it started to rain..Got the fuel in the mower and starter her up...she ran for a few secs as I started to walk to the grass and she flipped out and died on me...guess she did not want to get muddy...so start to get her running...no good so thats fine...I put it back up and grab my other mower...my weed-eater...it did not want to start up but I got it going and went to start going at it (was going to mow the whole yard with it...done it before) and got hmm 5feet done and the line goes missing...damm...of all days I have to reload the line.

Looking all over for the line and find the box behind the water heater....why it was there..I still do not know...but ok..grab it and go to get the line started so I can pull a good bit of line out and there was nothing...open the package up to see where the line went as it has slipped inside before and you have to dig it out...well..there was no line..it was empty.

I called it quits ..I have someone coming out tomorrow to mow my yard.

Just thought I would share on how simple it could be to mow a yard...can turn into a real &%^$# kind of thing to do.

Now..I am asking my self..would this go here in the A day In the Life of a Scrapper...or in off topic? hmm I will find out once one of the mods read this.

LOL, I don't have a HOA where I live and good thing too because they would probably be run off by a shotgun and I would be in jail. I paid for my house and I don't need some pencil pushing pansy tell me what to do to it. I haven't been able to mow my grass since our flood and the grass is way higher than I like it.

The HOA here is a real pain in my bottom...you cant work on your truck at the house...you cant have any oil stains in the drive way..you can only part one way..you trash cans can only go one way...its nuts...but..what I do have to say about that...every ones house is neat and clean..I like that but some of there rules and how damm picky they can be...drives me nuts...come on a oil stain?

Sorry to laugh at your frustration, easyrecycle, but it is laughing with you, not at you. I get that frustrated feeling every time I try to work on this house. The people who worked on it before me worked for beer and cigarettes. Needless to say almost every project seems to entail a bunch of surprises - and they're never good. No HOA though, I couldn't take that.

I share your opinion 100%. Right now, I have no choice, but when I do buy a house, it will be in a no HOA area. If I own it, and want to do something, and can get the permits, zoning, etc and have the cash, I want to do it!

When I was looking for my house, I made sure there was no HOA, and I still get people riding my @$$. Sorry to hear about all your troubles. About ten years ago I had a small lawn care biz. I can sympathize with you.
