Setting up to get some bigger business! I Hope!

So I am looking into getting bigger calls and doing more scrapping. Haven't had nothing much lately to break down and been a bit bored. Would love to fill the shed up with stuff I can break down and sort.

My nephew does decays as a side gig, so I called him up and told him I needed some advertising on the truck. Got phone number and what we are going by on the tailgate and got the name on the side of the bed above the wheels. Pretty nice job he did and I got out cheap for only $20. Pays to know people I guess.

While he was setting up decals, my brother in law came out and was talking scrap with him. He went back in, and then came out half hour later and offered to sell me his trailer for $100. Not a bad trailer and it has a valid title and spare tires, lights and plates.

Come to find out, I didn't have a wire harness for trailer pulling. Got that put on, now looking for a cheap receiver hitch and good to go for big jobs.

I went and got 500 business cards made up and putting them up in different places. So far, I have 4 people lined up for when they do the "spring cleaning" of basements and garages and a few more that are gonna look into getting new ovens in the next month and already gave me rights to their old ones.

Hopefully the constant advertising on the back of the truck gets me a few calls soon.

    Sounds like a good deal!

Theirs a place down the road that does good graphics and such. I can get 3 truck magnets for $30 i think. Wish i had that friend discount like you did though! Haha.

I am in desperate NEED of a trailer! Had one, but the person i was partnered with hit rock bottom and scrapped the dang trailer when i was away. What a piece of work he is.

I'm in the same "spring cleaning" situation. I've got 7 or 8 people saying that once it stops rainin on us and drys out, we'll be able to get to their shed/barn to get a "bunch of stuff" out. (Which usually ends up being 1 vacuum and a dang couch haha)

Sounds like ya got it goin on bud, good luck to ya!

I got one call for a vacuum so far, LOL. I have given a few to different co workers at my full time job to hand out to any friends or family that might have something they are looking to have removed from property. I put some in laundry mats, bars, and then been going to different places that work with metal, like car shops, computer shops, and misc. places. So far, the car shops already said they had someone doing that for them.

The computer place I am waiting for the owner to get back to town. The kid I talked to didn't know what was done with the broken items and said he would give the card to him when he arrived.

I figured it would take a few weeks to get most of the calls, but still very hopeful this works out, and as I get calls, I will hand the client a few cards and ask them to do what I had co workers do.
