With only one computer look to a local recycler. If you can't find one ask a computer repair store where they dispose of the bad computers. Lastly to ensure you don't pass on any personal information remove the hard drive and smash the hell out of it.

Don't know how to remove the hard drive?? Do a youtube search for your make and model with remove or replace hard drive. You will be like me a youtube expert. 73, Mike

    My Opinion

Junk removal services are the best way to dispose of a defective laptop. These companies will come to your location, dispose of the defective laptop, and pay you cash. You don’t have to take your laptop to the recycling or scrap yard. You may have to pay a fee depending on the size of the laptop and the service company. I have been using a junk removal service for many years. Recently, I called them for furniture disposal, and they took away the junk in a very professional way.
